The publication is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Irina Vladimirovna Tarasevich, one of the leading Russian epidemiologists and microbiologists, an internationally recognized scientist, the most distinguished follower of the school of thought established by P.F. Zdorovsky who has been determining development of rickettsia and rickettsial disease studies for more than 40 years.
