The publication contains studies dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Pavel Feliksovich Zdorovsky, a prominent Russian microbiologist, epidemiologist, and immunologist and a member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR. Gamaleya Institute for Epidemiology & Microbiology of the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia and Central Scientific Research Institute No. 48 of the Russian Ministry of Defense as well as the family members of the scientists highlight the key milestone of the life and career of P.F. Zdorovsky and provide an attempt to appraise the significance of his academic pursuits and developments, his contribution to the Russian and global science and solving issues of practical healthcare, from the point of view of the 21st century. The publication reflects the current condition and determines the prospects of further studies to develop the scientific heritage of P.F. Zdorovsky in one of the oldest and largest global centers in whose history this prominent scientist has taken a very important place.
