Based on the understanding of the symbiotic trends of evolutionary development of complex biological systems, the monograph authors justify the statement of the difference in kind between the acute and chronic infectious processes. They review the mechanisms of infection generalization due to bacteriemia contributing the formation of deposition focuses of pathological agents. They show that pathogenesis of many somatic diseases is related to the impact of pathogenic microorganisms.
