The monograph is devoted to the relevant problems of diagnostics and prognosis of urinary tract infections. It reviews the problems of the infectious process epidemiology and the etiological significance of various bacteria in occurrence of diseases. A special place is taken by detailed up-to-date characteristic of the uropathogen phenotype of various microbes and genetic factors of their pathogenicity. The range of scholarly views on these problems is highlighted. Based on the complex of clinical and laboratory studies the etiopathological relation of intestine dysbiosis in children to the phenomenon of bacteriuria in children is determined. Rational approaches to estimation of the diagnostic significance of bacteriuria are suggested.
