Approved by the Task Group on Learning and Teaching in Microbiology, Virology, and immunology of the All-Russia Training, Research, and Methodology Center for Continuous Medical and Pharmaceutical Education of the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia as a learning aid for medical higher educational establishments.

The program is an interactive learning aid for work with biological microscopes.

The atlas provides illustrative description of the microscope theory, the structure and the classification of biological microscopes, and the factors determining the image quality. The rules of working with a microscope are shown to ensure high quality of the image and the methods of objective registration and computer software of images are shown. Typical error of work with a microscope made by unexperienced microscopists when working with a microscope. An overview of various microscopy methods used for studying various objects is given
The atlas and guidance is intended for students of medical, biological, and agricultural educational establishments and for all the specialists using biological microscopes in their work.
