The team of the center has received a letter of gratitude.

Dear staff of the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.

Your highly-qualified specialists have made an invaluable contribution to the development of a vaccine against new coronavirus infection. We hope that the vaccine will help many people to avoid infection and will prove to be effective and safe. Thank you for being immediately involved in its development. The world is braced for the second wave of COVID-19. We are sure that your drug will help to avoid the severe consequences of the epidemic.

Unfortunately, there are more and more threats to people’s health and lives, and we cannot prevent them, only God is capable of this! The Bible says: “And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick” (Isaiah, 33:24).

What do you think, when will this promise of God be fulfilled?

I wish you every success in your noble work!

Best regards, Yelena.

The team of the center has received a letter of gratitude.

Dear staff of the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.

I saw a report on the news that you had finished COVID-19 vaccine trials. I would like to thank you for your dedicated work. It’s nice that a serious issue like this is addressed by competent people.

I understand that you’ve been under a lot of stress since you were trained as a doctor. One of the hardest moments in a doctor’s work is to tell bad news. And now you are also facing a challenge while developing various drugs. It may be hard for you to realize that many people are dying because they don’t have money and can’t afford drugs.

Still, you put all efforts to fight various diseases. Unfortunately, people cannot be cured from all their diseases. After all, it’s only in God’s hands. I believe that the time will come that not a single person will say “I am ill”. And while we need you and your expertise, stay safe and take care of your loved ones!

Best regards, Eteri.

The team of the center has received a letter of gratitude.

Dear employees of the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.
We would like to thank you for your dedicated work at this difficult time. We are moved by your diligence, dedication and courage. We are pleased that such competent and empathic people work exactly where they are most needed. Everyday, year after year you help people by studying 7 types of human coronaviruses. But due to the current circumstance you focused on COVID-19 and developed a unique testing system that allows detecting human immunity to coronavirus and current stage of the disease the patient is at. Thank you for doing a good deed to help other people.

This immediately brings to mind the statement “Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased”. These words prove that the God appreciates your efforts and work.

We would like to wish your and your families to stay healthy and patient in your hard work.

Respectfully yours, grateful people.

The team of the center has received a letter of gratitude.

Dear management and staff of the Institute.
As the new pandemic has spread around the world, scientists in many countries are engaged in developing a vaccine against COVID-19. Yesterday, we learned from the news that your Institute is also doing this. We were pleased to read that you managed to create such a vaccine, and its already gives positive results.

If we dig a little bit deeper into the history of microbiology, we will learn it was infectious disease physicians who conducted most fatal experiments on themselves. For example, in 1888, Russian microbiologist N. Gamaleya suggested fighting cholera using dead cholera bacilli. And to prove his theory, he and his wife took the lethal drink. One can also remember the names of G. Minh, I. Mechnikov, A. Smorodintsev and many others. Their names have still not been forgotten because they made a significant contribution to the fight against viruses.

The Director of the Institute said that all the specialists involved in the development of the vaccine were voluntarily vaccinated, understanding its safety and the responsibility
they took in the development of the drug. Working directly with the virus, you could not afford either to self-isolate or to get sick. You put your life at risk thinking about other people. This is consistent with the advice given in the wisest book “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act”. No one else can do such good for people except those who develop such vaccines. It is worthy of respect and praise! Now your names can rightfully be included in the list of those who conducted self-experiments trying to help people.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Wishing you and your family health. Stay strong, patient and successful in your hard work. Take care of yourself!

Best regards,
Natalia and Olga.

Creation of this vaccine is very important, as more and more people in the world are getting this infection. Due to this, you probably have to work on a fast-track basis, facing enhanced stress and risk of contamination. We would like to thank you for your dedicated service, passion for your work, and interest in people's well-being.

Even though most people do not see your efforts, they bring a great value. Moreover, you must be deeply satisfied with the results of your work, since the Bible says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
