By an Order dated February 1, 2018, the following changes were made to the structure and staffing of the department "Institute of Virology named after D. I. Ivanovsky" from February 16, 2018.
The immunochemistry laboratory (headed by Professor E. V. Karamov) was transferred from the Department of Molecular Virology to the Department of General Virology.
Immunodeficiency Virus laboratory (headed by Professor D. N. Nosik) was renamed the laboratory for chronic viral infections.
The Laboratory for Epidemiology, Prevention and Diagnostics of Viral Hepatitis (headed by L. B. Kisteneva, Doctor of Medical Sciences) was renamed into the Laboratory for Chronic Viral Infections.
The department of molecular vaccinology and immunodiagnostics is being set up within the structure and staffing list as part of the laboratory for comparative virology with the Russian Center for Herpes (headed by professor I. F. Barinskiy), laboratory for the physiology of viruses (headed by candidate of biological sciences T. A. Timofeeva), laboratory of molecular genetics (headed by A. G. Prilipov, Doctor of Biological Sciences) and the laboratory of molecular diagnostics (headed by corresponding member of the RAS T. V. Grebennikova). The department will be headed by Corresponding Member of the RAS T. V. Grebennikova.
