The Academic Council of the FSBI N. F. Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology under the Health Ministry held an extended meeting dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Chief Researcher, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Science, Professor Anatoly Davidovich Altshtein.
The meeting of the Academic Council was also attended by Professor Altshtein’s wife, candidate of medical sciences E.A. Sinyagina who worked as a senior laboratory assistant in 1972-1985, then a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Viral Etiology of Tumors of the NRC named after N.F. Gamaleya of the AMS of the USSR, and also his son, S.A. Altshtein, businessman in the field of production of chemical reagents, and V.I. Agol, an outstanding molecular biologist and virologist and a Corresponding Member of the RAS.
