Results of phase I/II clinical trial of the vaccine against coronavirus infection are published in International journal - The Lancet

On August 11, 2020, the Russian Ministry of Health issued a registration certificate with the number LP-006395 for a vaccine for the prevention of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19, developed by FSBI National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after the honorary academician N. F. Gamaleya of the Russian Ministry of Health.

At the final board meeting of the Russian Ministry of Health, the Director of FSBI National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after the honorary academician N. F. Gamaleya of the Russian Ministry of Health, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences A. L. Gintsburg was awarded the Order of Friendship, pursuant to a Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 29, 2019.

The Moscow Professional Union of Health Workers expressed gratitude to the team of FSBI National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after the honorary academician N. F. Gamaleya of the Russian Ministry of Health in observance of Health Worker Day for their selfless work, expertise, precision and high level of organization of work in providing qualified medical care and an invaluable contribution in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Moscow Trade Union Federation expressed gratitude to the staff of FSBI National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after the honorary academician N. F. Gamaleya of the Russian Ministry of Health for their selfless work in the fight against Covid-19 for the life and health of Muscovites.

Pursuant to the instructions of the Russian Minister of Health V. I. Skvortsova dated August 21, 2019 on the circulation of immunobiological drugs in the territory of the Russian Federation, the FSBI National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after the honorary academician N. F. Gamaleya of the Russian Ministry of Health, a Quality Control Center for Immunobiological Drugs was established without any changes to its staff list.

By Decree No. 199 of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 29, 2019 "On conferring state awards of the Russian Federation" for great contribution to the development of health care and many years of conscientious work, Director of FSBI National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after the honorary academician N. F. Gamaleya of the Russian Ministry of Health, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences A. L. Gintsburg was awarded the Order of Friendship.

In order to fulfill the tasks set by the Russian Ministry of Health within the framework of the federal project "Development of a network of national medical research centers and the introduction of innovative medical technologies" Medical department, from April 22, 2019, the Medical Department was established at FSBI National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after the honorary academician N. F. Gamaleya of the Russian Ministry of Health.

In accordance with Order No. 125 of the Russian Ministry of Health dated March 13, 2019 "On approval of the Regulations on the formation of a network of national medical research centers and on the organization of  activities of national medical research centers" and in order to fulfill the tasks set by the Russian Ministry of Health within the framework of implementation of the federal project "Development of a network of national medical research centers and the introduction of innovative medical technologies", from April 1, 2019, the Department of National Projects in the Field of Medical Microbiology was established at FSBI National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after the honorary academician N. F. Gamaleya of the Russian Ministry of Health.

For his outstanding contribution to the fight against the Ebola epidemic, Director of FSBI National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after the honorary academician N. F. Gamaleya of the Russian Ministry of Health, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences A. L. Gintsburg was awarded the National Order of Merit of the Republic of Guinea.
